The Cottage
Surrounded by the Torrent de Son Oliveret and large plots of land with local vegetation appears The Cottage.
This rustic house blends perfectly with its surroundings, draws from Majorcan tradition, and is made of earth-coloured concrete walls.

The house has two floors.
The ground floor is formed by a dry-stone wall plinth that raises the first floor, with earth-coloured triangular walls that make up the sloping tile roofs. The volumetry is mainly on the ground floor, plus a single volume on the first floor, oriented towards the views of the Palma Bay.

Access to the house is through a small opening between two blind stone walls. This opening invites you to enter a covered porch, where the main door is located.
On entering, an ample double-height space appears, with a sloping roof that connects the ground floor with the first floor through a pigmented concrete staircase.
This space unites the living area and the kitchen, which are linked to the exterior through large windows that open onto the porch. This generates an entirely transparent façade, in contrast to the opacity of the main façade.

Breathtaking views.
From the porch, one can enjoy the reflections of the swimming pool’s water, surrounded by a stone wall, which acts as a backdrop to the view of the Tramuntana mountain range while absorbing the unevenness of the plot.

The night area is located to the right of the entrance,
which is reached through a wide corridor with storage, which leads to the children’s bedrooms. At the back is the master bedroom, which has an ensuite bathroom and a dressing room. The volume of this space repeats the sloping roof of the day area, generating a double height at the entrance, which diminishes as one moves through the room
