House in Torre en Conill

The project takes shape as a double-height dwelling, featuring a compact first-floor volume that incorporates interior patios, which establish a delicate balance between interior and exterior.
On a flat plot within a consolidated area of single-family homes stands UP100.
A residence conceived with privacy from neighbouring plots as its guiding principle, yet without relinquishing a strong relationship with the outdoors.

About the façade and the volumes.
The precast concrete panels on the first floor are cast using moulds that replicate the cladding slats, producing a continuous pattern that unifies the upper prism. On the ground floor, supporting walls strategically appear and disappear, allowing the upper volume to hover over the lower one at the edges, creating a sense of lightness and movement.
Access is through a central opening in the opaque façade, which shields the house from the street and directs the gaze inward.

Upon entering,
light floods the spaces thanks to the side courtyards, which blur the boundaries between interior and exterior. The rear façade, which opens onto the terrace and pool, almost disappears, seamlessly integrating the interior with the landscape.
The upper slats frame the entrance and the parking area.
Shade for vehicles is provided while also protecting the main bedroom and the double-height terrace on the ground floor. They also act as a visual filter, creating a semi-private space linked to the bedroom, from which the sky can be seen.
