Two houses located in a flood-prone area next to a boulevard with an old torrent running through it.
The pieces are raised off the ground to prevent water ingress and to generate the frames that draw the boxes.
The volumetry is conceived to generate views from the first floor to the pine forest and turns on the ground floor to make good use of the plot with a north-south orientation. The lower lozenges, in one direction, and the upper lozenge, supported in the opposite direction.
Minimalism is sought in the forms and constructive sincerity in the edges of the exposed concrete slabs. The importance of the porches is also emphasised, with joined pieces that generate more or less pronounced projections to take advantage of the exterior uses.
The access to the house is located in the central box. On entering it through a large wooden gate, the view opens up to the rear of the plot through the vertical communication staircase. This central piece separates the main daytime uses from the secondary ones.
On one side, the living/dining room is visually linked to the kitchen, which is located in the last of the rooms. These rooms are extended to create porches for outdoor use next to the swimming pool. On the other side, a secondary bedroom and the garage.
On the first floor, the east-west orientation of the room organises, on one side, the bedroom suite and, on the other, two parallel bedrooms. To the west are the main views overlooking a large pine forest, towards which the master bedroom is directed. The strong sunlight is controlled by a large empty porch on which removable elements can be placed, both on one side and the other.
