In Sa Rápita, in the southern part of the island of Mallorca, stands UP70, an Ubiko house designed in collaboration with Jesús Gasca.

With a simple volume, the house is conceived as a rectangular prism, on a single floor that extends in one direction and houses its entire programme.

Based on the idea of turning the entire house towards the northern views and achieving a shady spot, the porch, the backbone of the project, is designed. This space stitches together all the house rooms, is linked to the swimming pool, and opens onto the area of vegetation contained in the plot.

The main rooms face the north façade, where the plot adjoins a natural space free of buildings. The structure, made of prefabricated concrete walls, is designed in accordance with the porch, which is more than 16m long, without any element that interrupts the view of the landscape.

Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a large living room, dining room, and kitchen space – that opens onto the aforementioned porch – complete the dwelling. The day area, with a clear horizontal component, is open-plan and the STUA furniture pieces put the finishing touch to this fantastic project.
