The Mallorcan town of Calvià borders the sea through a mountainous terrain

The plot of this house is located in the second line behind a four-storey block of flats and on a steeply sloping surface. The northern orientation of the terrain and the views, together with the steep slope of the plot, marked the premises from which the proposal would be planned.

This is an area of single-family housing where the principal value for the owners is to achieve views over the sea. In this way, the house is staggered to be positioned in the highest part of the plot and turned concerning the road to open up space towards the sea between the blocks of flats.

The façade is designed using a single-line continuous lintel, which turns at the first-floor level to focus the main bedroom on the views of the bay.

The precast concrete walls provide both the structure and the façades of the house. This concrete enclosure was assembled in three days, thanks to a complex industrialisation process carried out to the millimetre.

These workshop-fabricated concrete walls, glazing and insulated perimeter chambers are combined with passive energy generation and self-consumption systems using water collection, solar energy and aerothermal energy. External sustainability in the form of construction and internal sustainability in the form of consumption.
