What adds value to what? Is it the environment that accompanies the two-story house? Or is it precisely the house, with its geometric lines, that complements this mountain range outside Barcelona?

Two rectangular prisms, joined together, fit into the ground solving accessibility, both for pedestrians and for vehicles, thereby placing the house at level 0. Starting from an opaque main facade, the volumes are perforated as they move along the plot.

“The precast element of the construction allows to articulate a simple, economical and agile structure in the process, with a much more versatile architecture and capable of adapting to the uneven terrain.”

Victor Millán Romero. Ubiko Technical Director

A single space accommodates the vertical connection as well as the living and dining areas, hence distributing the different day and night spaces within the house.

A bond with the exterior space is generated from one of the volumes’ extension as a porch, providing shade and shelter, and closely connecting the house with the Mediterranean nature and climate.
